The primary flight display
What are all those numbers and lines?
The primary flight display brings the essentials together: the attitude indicator (an artificial horizon showing nose-up or nose-down and bank), airspeed on the left tape, altitude on the right tape, vertical speed and heading.
Pilots scan these constantly. It is the same information older aircraft showed on round dials, in one place. The display here is driven by the simulated flight.
A little deeper
Flight directors show suggested pitch and roll for the selected mode. Colours and symbols differ between Boeing and Airbus.
This is an educational depiction, not a real flight simulator.
